Ignite His Return

I was 5 years old when I heard my first heard about Jesus: The Crucifixion! I remember being told, “Did you know Jesus loved us so much that he was beaten and died on the cross for our sins so we could be forgiven and go to heaven to be with Him one day?”. I thought to myself how could a man love me so much but yet I know nothing about him. It seemed so one sided in our relationship and I wanted to do my part in know Him. Since that day, I spent many hours, days, weeks, years getting to know this beautiful man that was my Savior.

God knew I needed him at a young age. He became my greatest comforter, strength, protector, peace, encouragement, love, and even Father.

He was my comforter through family distress and unresolved physical ailments.

He was my strength when my body had little, to none, left to continue on.

He was my protector in scary encounters with others intending to harm me and from a major accident.

He was my peace during times of mental infliction and during times of rejection.

He was my encouragement during major decisions in my life especially with each time I moved to an new unknown location.

He was my love when I felt unloved or I lacked in loving myself.

He was a Father since I was fatherless.

I owe Him my life! He has been the consistent light in my life, the hope, the promise, and the joy that has sustained me over the years. I owe Him everything! He is worthy of our YES! I will give my “Yes” to Jesus every moment I can until He takes me home.
